The King's Service Centre was officially opened on 31st July and the team from Design79 were there to see the culmination of their involvement in the project. King's College London settled on Cornwall as the location of their new I.T service centre after looking at several options globally. Cornwall was chosen due to the excellent assistance offered by Invest in Cornwall and the County Council as well as the superb superfast broadband connection, availability of office space and specialist workforce.
Design79 were asked to implement the branding creating environmental graphics that would link the King's Service Centre with the central London campus' of the University. Large wall graphics, vinyls and the naming of the various spaces within the centre have helped create the link.
Senior Designer Leo Stockley, who led on the project, said 'We were thrilled to be involved with the King's Service Centre, the team at King's have been great to work with and the finished service centre looks fantastic. It's a great reflection of the hard work that has gone into making Cornwall such an attractive place to do business'.
